The Alumni Association of the Federal Polytechnic Offa Kwara State has held its annual general meeting and elected new executives, board of trustees to pilot the affairs of the association. The Annual General Meeting and election were held on the 30th of July 2022 at the Polytechnic Board Room, Main Campus. Speaking at the meeting, the pioneer President of the association, Dr. Ayo Adeyemi said the idea of the association was a concerted effort of a few groups of people who formed a steering committee after which the election was conducted that led to his emergence. Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore spokesman Saleh Alhassan Fulani herdsmen under the aegis of the Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore say despite their exit from the South-East and the implementation of the anti-open grazing law, the region has continued to witness insecurity. The spokesman for the group, Saleh Alhassan, stated this during a chat with PUNCH Live on Tuesday, adding that the development was evidence that Fulani herders were never the problem. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Monday quizzed the wife of Kano State Governor, Mrs Hafsat Ganduje over alleged multimillion naira land fraud. Hafsat was interrogated for several hours in Abuja and allowed to go home later in the evening. She is expected to return to the Commission for further questioning at a later date. Our correspondent learnt that the governor’s wife was arrested by the commission following her failure to respond to an invitation over the allegations levelled against her by her son, Abdulazeez, who has reportedly fled the country.
